The Shell Technology Centre Bangalore is an innovation Hub for Shell dedicated to advancing technology and engineering excellence across the energy sector. With world-class facilities STCB is at the forefront of research and development, driving Shell鈥檚 purpose to power progress and contribute to a lower carbon future.
The campus is a state-of-the-art custom-built facility spread across 52 acres in North Bangalore with an office block, lab buildings, amphitheater, entertainment/sports zone, a medical center, and a creche.
In line with Shell鈥檚 purpose of powering progress, STCB is committed to reducing emissions from the
spaces in which we operate. The campus is certified LEED Gold by Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) and has been granted the Net Zero Emission Edge certification for its
Lab buildings by the International Finance Corporation & World Green Building Council.
Some of the measures we take to progress in this area include:
- Harnessing solar energy where applicable
- Reducing wasteful discharge through targeted water recycling and rainwater harvesting techniques
- Leveraging the Miyawaki technique to nurture living, breathing green spaces within our office premises that promote the growth of local flora and fauna.
